Personal training in Portland
Train properly, without wrecking yourself getting there.
One-to-one coaching built around the body you actually have today — your history, your schedule, and what your joints will tolerate this week.
Services
Three ways to work together
Same coaching either way — the difference is format, frequency and rate.
One-to-one coaching
Private sessions built around your history and your goals.
Every session is programmed for you and adjusted as you go. If something is sore, stiff, or new, the session changes that day rather than next month.
Best for anyone returning after a long break, an injury, or a stalled year.
Small group
Two to four people, coached properly, at a lower rate.
Groups stay small enough that form still gets watched and loads still get set individually. It is coaching, not a class.
Best for training with a partner, or wanting structure without the private rate.
Online programming
A written plan, reviewed and adjusted every week.
You get a programme built for your equipment and schedule, plus a weekly check-in where it gets revised against how the week actually went.
Best for training in your own gym, or on the road often.
How it works
Four steps, starting with a conversation
Nothing is charged until after the consult, and nothing is programmed before the assessment.
Consult
A conversation about what you want, what you have tried, and anything that currently hurts. No charge, no obligation.
Assessment
A movement screen and a baseline of where your strength and mobility actually sit today.
Programme
A plan written for your schedule and your equipment, with the first block laid out session by session.
Train and adjust
We train, review, and revise. The plan follows what your body reports back, not the other way round.
About
Coaching that starts from where you are
Most people do not quit training because the programme was wrong. They quit because it asked for a body they did not have yet, and something gave out.
The work here starts with an honest baseline, then builds from it. Load goes up when the movement earns it. When a joint objects, the session changes rather than the plan collapsing.
FAQ
Questions people ask first
I have an old injury. Can I still train?
Usually, with adjustments. Bring any guidance you have from a physio or doctor and we will programme around it. Coaching is not medical treatment, and anything that needs a clinician gets referred to one.
How often should I train?
Most people do well on two or three sessions a week to start. Consistency at two beats an ambitious four you abandon in a month.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. The assessment exists precisely so the first block matches where you are now.
What does it cost?
Rates depend on format and frequency, and are discussed at the consult so you can see the plan before committing to it.
Where do sessions happen?
Sessions run across Portland and the eastside. Online programming is available anywhere.
